 I get this pair of wooden decoy about a year. Look like real ducks, of cause the decoy is used to hunting a real ducks.
They are carving as Mallard ducks, the green head is male and the other is female. Mallard, a kind of wild duck in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. In the past Americans use the duck decoy to hunting real ducks.
By 1920, hunting is limited and control, the decoys mostly are the collectible as art. In the new era, factory make decoys in plastic. They are cheap and lost the collectible value.
